We gathered together in the morning on Saturday, November 8, 2008 to break the ground at our build site. Invitations were sent to Lodges and OES Chapters in the area as well as others in the community. The weather was cold but the rain held off and 37 people turned out for the event.  After the invocation, the Master of the Lodge, Worthy Matron of the OES, chair of the building committee and the project manager spoke.  After the speeches, officers from the Lodge and Star broke the ground.   This symbolic step marks the beginning of our building progress. As soon as this symbolic step was completed, the heavy equipment moved in:  Thank you to all who attended this special event. |
